Main duties of the job
The aim of the appointment is to provide generic and focused research experience alongside middle-grade support to the consultant physicians with a special interest in Respiratory Medicine.
Other than 2 Clinics, there are no fixed inpatient commitments (apart from procedures for the Interventional Fellow), unless covering annual and study leave. The post-holder will be attached to the respiratory team covering the 2 respiratory registrars when they are on annual and study leave being available for general ward cover of junior staff including supervision of ward admissions, diagnosis and treatments. The post holder should assist in the teaching and training of Junior Medical Staff and undergraduate students and participate in regular audit meetings.The Postgraduate Department in Prince Philip Hospital has a fully developed programme of guest lectures and Grand Round lunchtime meetings, including special interest groups and co-ordinated intra-practice activities and career counselling. The library offers a wide ranging book and journal collection, with interlibrary lending network, excellent IT facilities, and our post graduate department has excellent audio-visual and video-conferencing equipment.

- Post graduate training ( or part-time equivalent, at least 2 of which will be in a speciality training programme in a relevant speciality
