Exciting opportunities are now open at East Cheshire NHS Trust (ECT) for innovative and forward-thinking clinicians to join our well-established Anaesthetic department which, working in collaboration with Stockport NHS Foundation Trust offers the prospect of a rewarding future career.
Following significant investment at Macclesfield District General Hospital, in a brand-new purpose-built ICU unit, the successful applicant will have a unique opportunity to provide safe, effective, and personal care to the population of rural Macclesfield and work as part of the larger anaesthetic team at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport. Working together as part of our future collaboration for sustainable services, this investment in our workforce affords great opportunities for the right candidates.
Additional private practice opportunities also exist at the neighbouring Spire Regency, located adjacent to Macclesfield District General Hospital with which we boast excellent relationships.
Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a license to practice, have entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within six months of the interview date), CESR or European Community Rights. Interested candidates with a proposed CCT date beyond six months are still advised to apply for the post as further appointments are envisaged in the near future.
The Consultant posts are for 10.30 Programmed Activities, 6.43 Direct Clinical Care, associated Supporting Professional Activities and 1.37 Out of Hours. The post will comprise theatre sessions in addition to ICU, which will be flexible depending upon the service requirements. The successful applicants will participate in the ‘out of hours’ consultant on call rota.
