Salaried GP / GP Partner - Cannington Health Centre

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team at Cannington Health Centre. We are a dispensing practice who prioritise a high standard of patient care to our list of 5200 patients. We have a good work-life balance for our GPs and staff and we are keen to hear from GPs at any stage of their career. We have two positions available for a four and six session GP.
Cannington is large village approximately 5 minutes drive west of the town of Bridgwater. The village is in an area of outstanding natural beauty between the Quantock Hills and the Somerset Coast. A move to Cannington Health Centre will provide a great quality of life with easy access to the moors and beaches, while in the proximity to the M5, Bristol Airport and train routes provides an opportunity to access cosmopolitan city life in Exeter, Bristol and London.

The area has lots to offer if you like hiking, cycling, mountain biking, paddleboarding, horse riding, sailing or a gentle round of golf, all can be accessed nearby. The Quantock hills have many trails to enjoy and challenge yourself either hiking or mountain biking. On our doorstep is Durleigh Sailing Club for adults and children. The county town of Taunton is within easy access for diverse shopping, restaurants and regularly hosts national and international music and sporting fixtures at Somerset Cricket Club and Taunton Racecourse.

If you have family commitments, Somerset offers some of the best schools in the country. The primary schools of Somerset are justly renowned and have high performing independent co-educational secondary school with many international students.

About us - Four doctor GMS practice, single site independent practice, high QOF achievers, 15 minute appointments, low visit rate, good working relationships with local practices. We are a supportive and welcoming clinical and non-clinical team where professional development and education is actively encouraged. Salaried role remuneration would be commensurate with experience, the BMA model contract will apply and Medical Indemnity costs paid.
