Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Fellow (Core) in General Medicine with various specialties at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The posts available are detailed below:

Post 1)  Rotational Post (with on-calls)- ASAP until 01 Aug 23

                   - Transplant - ASAP until 31 Jan 23

                   - General Medicine with Hepatology  - 01 Feb 23 until 06 Jun 23

                   - Acute Medicine - 07 Jun 23 until 01 Aug 23

Post 2)  General Medicine (with on-calls) -  ASAP until 01 Aug 23

Main duties of the job

As well as providing you with experience of working in a ward environment within a specific specialty in Medicine, these posts will also offer you the opportunity to experience working as part of a busy medical take team based in the Emergency Department. A significant amount of senior support is available which greatly contributes to the educational value of these shifts, and enables completion of workplace-based assessments in Acute Care.

In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification.

Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

This post may be suitable for those wishing to undertake an “F3” role.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
