This role will be supported by a 12,000 relocation allowance.

We have some new and exciting opportunities in our Learning Disability community services across Suffolk as we enter the start of a service redesign and we are looking for a Specialty Doctor, ideally with Learning Disability experience, who are interested in joining and be part of the transformation of our service.

The Learning Disability and Autism Specialist Service is not only being invested in financially, with a fresh approach to ideas and service delivery being supported by the Trust, we are confident our new model of care is the very best for the people we care for.

This can only be achieved by identifying individuals needs and delivering treatments specific to those needs. Services are already co-designing how interventions and treatments can be delivered by one community.

You will need to be enthusiastic and conscientious and do everything you can to provide the best care to our service users. We are looking for someone who displays compassion, empathy and sensitivity. We are looking for someone to work flexibly across community and acute service within our speciality pathway.

The Post

Title: Specialty Doctor

Specialty: Learning Disability Psychiatry West Suffolk Community and Inpatients

Job Summary: We are seeking a Specialty Doctor to join our West Suffolk Learning disability and Community Suffolk inpatient service teams.

Description of the Post: Clinical work will take place at any of these sites, but may also take place in another Trust location or other community destinations such as at service user's home.

Essential

 

  • GMC Registration
  • S12 Approval

Desirable

  • MRCPsych

Experience
Essential

  • 3 years as a doctor post registration
  • 2 years in Psychiatry at SHO/ST level or more senior
  • 6 months in relevant specialism

Clinical Governance
Essential

  • A clear understanding of Clinical Governance
  • Demonstrate a commitment to open review of practice
