Clinical Fellow fixed term contract opportunities at The Royal Hospital for Neuro disability 

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability was established in 1854 and is run as a charity. It provides services to the NHS and is recognised for its expertise and specialist care. It is situated in a beautiful setting in West London and has a supportive, friendly and inclusive culture. 

We are a centre of excellence for people with complex disabilities as a result of damage to the brain or nervous system, including the provision of level 1 neuro-rehabilitation services and services for people with prolonged disorders of consciousness; people requiring long term ventilation and people with neuro-behavioural problems.

We are looking for Clinical Fellows to join our dynamic multi-professional teams. 

  • Fellows will provide, day to day, clinical care under the supervision of a Consultant, along with many visiting Consultants and will contribute to clinical audit and service development. 
  • There are opportunities to gain experience in a number of specialist skills including ventilatory support, spasticity management, low awareness assessments, and the management of challenging behaviour.
  • The role includes participation in a 1 in 6 on-call rota, which can be undertaken from home. 
  • The post is for an initial 12 months with possible extension

The Hospital has established research and educational programmes and Fellows are encouraged to participate in these. 

The role is ideal experience for doctors interested in a range of different careers including:

  • Rehabilitation Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, General medicine, Geriatric medicine, Intensive care or Primary care. 

Applicants must hold full registration with the GMC. Experience in neurological rehabilitation or in a relevant specialty is desirable but not essential.      
 
There is a real team spirit and excellent relationships between the disciplines. We welcome doctors wishing to work full time or part time.

Applicants must hold full registration with the GMC. Experience in neurological rehabilitation or in a relevant specialty is desirable but not essential. Applicants must also have received both COVID-19 Vaccines or are in the process of receiving these, unless medically exempt.
