Grand Union Village Health Centre, Northolt, London.

We are a friendly APMS Surgery with a growing list size of 7300 based in an exceptional, modern, purpose built health centre. We are a thriving and friendly team looking after a diverse, multi-cultural population based in Northolt, North West London.  We benefit from great transport links – A40/M40, M25, London Underground and London Buses. We are passionate about offering excellent care for our patients and have a strong local reputation within the Borough of Ealing.  We are one of six GP practices who have formed Northolt PCN (Primary Care Network) whose role is to work together to build on local services and offer enhanced access to appointments for our patients.  Our GP Partner, Dr James Swain, is one of the Clinical Leads for the PCN.

We regularly attain some of the highest patient satisfaction ratings in the area via the National Patient Survey and have continued to maintain a GOOD CQC rating.

Broadmead Surgery is high achieving across all service indictors and we offer many enhanced services including an Anticoagulation service.  Since 2019, we have been accredited as a training practice and have already received and supported Nursing, Clinical Pharmacist and Physician Associate students.  We look forward to welcoming F2 doctors in the near future.

Our clinicians have the full support of in-house Clinical Pharmacists, Clinical Assistant, Social Prescriber as well as a comprehensive nursing and administrative team.  Regular multidisciplinary meetings involve members of local community health services and regularly engage with wider partners to achieve holistic care and positive outcomes for our patients.

The main purpose of the role is to support the GP Partner and team to manage a busy and interesting clinical caseload.  The appointee will also have the opportunity to take part in leading on key disease areas (monitoring trends in treatment, staff training and prescribing) and assist in developing appropriate healthcare services for a diverse patient list.  Please see full Job Description and Person Specification provided.

We are advocates of promoting patient education and have held a number of specialised “open days” for patients with chronic conditions (asthma, COPD, diabetes) where the team provide education and support to patients on managing their long term conditions.  These events are supported by members of our active Patient Participation Group that meet regularly to discuss local issues and provide feedback on the services we provide.

The practice is happy to encourage and support the development of Doctors with specialist interests.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised, compassionate GP for 4 to 8 sessions per week – full-time, part-time or job share considered.  Our preferred working days – Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays but we are flexible and open to discussion. Starting salary as per BMA guidance depending on experience.  BMA approved contract. Indemnity cover will be paid by the surgery.

Please visit our surgery website: www.broadmeadsurgery.co.uk for more information. Please send your CV with a covering letter to Mrs Nicola Falcon, Practice Manager by clicking the apply button.
