The ED department currently see around 92,000 patients, with an executive team committed to excelling in delivering a quality service to our ever increasing population, we are undergoing a process of modernisation, enhancing our service to ensure the provision of excellent care for the 300,000 community we serve.

We wish to build our middle grade tier and are looking for candidates with at least 18 months Emergency Medicine experience to cover a full shift rota including 1 in 3 weekends.
We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a desire to progress in the specialty of Emergency Medicine. We will offer a supportive environment with excellent educational facilities, where you can gain more experience and develop your portfolios, with the added advantage of three hospitals in the group we are developing a full CESR programme for those who would qualify.
We also benefit from strong links with Warwick Medical School and the opportunity for academic links with Warwick University including teaching appointments and potential for faculty association.
The Successful candidates will be expected to support and assist the Consultants with audit and teaching of the A & E medical and nursing staff and students.
The George Eliot Hospital has approximately 300 beds, catering for General Medicine, General Surgery, Care of the Elderly, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Trauma and Orthopaedics and Emergency Department, with supportive from the nearby Tertiary Centres of Leicester and Coventry.
Qualification and Professional Training
- Medical Degree
- MRCGP, MRCP, FRCS or equivalent
- Full GMC Registration
- Experience in acute medicine will be an advantage
- ALS or equivalent
- APLS/ATLS or equivalent

- 18 months experience in ED
- Further experience in Acute/Emergency Medicine
