Job Details

We've got an exciting opportunity for motivated consultants in emergency medicine with a passion for excellent patient care, to join a friendly, dynamic, forward thinking ED at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, one of the most vibrant cities in the UK.

We are investing £10.5 million over the next 3 years to expand our medical workforce and these consultant roles are part of the first tranche of recruitment.  We are looking for team players who will contribute to our aspiration to become an elite ED, delivering ‘excellent care without exception’.

NUH ED has a strong reputation for research and education, with a collocated academic and clinical skills unit (DREEAM), which also hosts a health improvement / prevention hub. The Department has highly developed CESR and ACP Programmes and our nurses are undertaking the Faculty of Emergency Nursing Competency Programme.

NUH is a large Major Trauma Centre and DREEAM hosts the European Trauma Course. If you have an interest or expertise in quality improvement, research education and prevention please tell us about it.

Company

Choose Nottingham

Voted as one of the Sunday Times Best Places to live, our city and the region are one of the big reasons why a career at NUH is the right choice for so many.

The city has been named in the top ten places to bring up a family and the top UK city to make your salary stretch further. Whilst you’re probably already familiar with Robin Hood (and yes, there is still a castle and a Sherriff), there is so much more to Nottingham than its legends. There’s rich culture on every corner with something for all tastes and a thriving independent restaurant and shopping sector

The three campuses of Nottingham University Hospitals are based in and around the city centre with direct access to all of the amenities and attractions. 25% of Nottingham is made up of green spaces and parks but within a short journey you can be in the spectacular surrounding countryside of the Peak District, Sherwood Forest, Rutland Water and the Lincolnshire coast.

Choose NUH
