Physician Associate
We are seeking to appoint a number of enthusiastic, driven and motivated Physician Associates (PAs) across a range of specialties in medical and surgical posts in our Trust. We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified candidates, with tailored support available on an individual basis.

We currently have 16 PA posts within the Trust and are keen to develop and expand. We are planning posts for the future - ensure the best clinical exposure and training possible as well as a career progression pathway.
We have developed a tier system to develop careers of Physician Associates within our trust: The first two being -
Tier 1: Rotation through 4 different posts (2 years).
Tier 2: Specialty post.

We have developed a tier system to develop careers of Physician Associates within our trust: The first two being -
Tier 1: Rotation through 4 different posts (2 years).
- We endeavor to be leaders in the development in PA education and skills. We try to tailor rotations for personal development and preference. You will be supported in developing the skills and expertise needed for developing within the Trust.
- We are an integral part of the on-call (Evenings, Weekends and Nights). This ensures you understand the foundations of hospital operation and are also is more financially rewarding.
- We provide a platform to develop knowledge through teaching, with recognised accredited syllabuses alongside junior doctors (F1, F2), while also giving you a voice in our monthly PA meetings/teaching which are more PA orientated. Furthermore each specialty will provide their own fundamental teaching weekly, giving you plenty of opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills base.
- Study leave and some funding is also provided.
