We are looking for a full time consultant to join the Radiology department at NNUH. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team of committed and enthusiastic Radiologists with a wide variety of interests in a busy teaching hospital environment.
Main duties of the job
This is a new full time consultant appointment in response to increasing demand for Interventional Radiology services. The successful applicant would join a team of 40 consultant radiologists, seven of whom specialise in Interventional Radiology.

Job responsibilities
Applicants would be expected to have wide experience in Interventional Radiology including vascular and non-vascular intervention, and the department would be flexible in accommodating any secondary areas of interest. Given that we have a large radiology training scheme an enthusiasm and aptitude for teaching and training would also be an advantage. The candidate would be expected to participate with colleagues in a likely 1:8 out-of-hours emergency interventional radiology provision. All consultants currently have home reporting workstations with full RIS and PACS and access to Trust systems.

- Full GMC with licence to practise
- Accreditation in Clinical Radiology and on Spec Reg or within 6 months
- FRCR or equivalent

- MRCP/FRCS

- Capable of working in MTD
- enthusiasm for service development and teaching

- Previous responsibility for service improvement
Experience

- Extensive Interventional Radiology, inc vascular and non-vascular at consultant level
- Awareness of the role of research in clinical practice

- further area of interest to compliment current service
- completed specialist fellowship
- Interest of experience in stroke thrombectomy
- Research or published papers
