In recent years our list has galloped ahead, and recruitment needs to keep pace to service patient demand. We have invested in 3 Advanced Practitioners within the partnership to support the GP team, which has been very successful and now is the time to focus on further GP recruitment as 2 of our Salaried GPs have converted to Partners.
We are always on the lookout for the right people to join our Practice and right now, we are looking to strengthen the GP team with a couple of motivated doctors – sessions flexible from 4 to 8 per week. Tell us what you want from the role? Maybe you just want to focus on being a list holding Salaried GP? Or maybe you want to combine this with another role as part of a portfolio approach, such as training students, GPSI etc. Either way, we are receptive.
The important stuff
What is important to you as a GP and does this coincide with our view of the primary care world?
Most (but not all) of our GPs are part time i.e. 4 to 6 sessions which allows for portfolio careers, a better work / life balance, see more of their family, reduce the onset of stress and dare we say it burn-out. It works for us but would work even better if we could recruit 2 or 3 more GPs, part time or full time (8 sessions)
17 800 patients GP led with personal lists Successful skill-mixed team
Part of ‘go-ahead’ PCN Continual investment in staffing to spread the workload
Good relations with the local NHS We are hanging on to our sense of humour!
Great location Mainline Rail J25 M5, Exeter and Bristol airports
