Northern Health and Social Care Trust
Part time, 1PA for contribution to Out-of-Hours on-call The Rowan, SARC
The Northern Health & Social Care Trust is seeking to appoint doctors with Paediatric experience to commit to training in paediatric sexual abuse examinations with the aim of contributing to paediatric cover for the Rowan SARC. This particular recruitment exercise seeks to build a sustainable out-of-hours rota for paediatric cover to the Rowan.
The successful applicants will join a team of 6 experienced Paediatricians providing paediatric input to the Regional SARC. Paediatricians are involved in all examinations of children< 13 years and on occasion children and young people between 13-16 years with additional vulnerability factors. Examinations are carried out jointly with the Forensic Medical Officers (FMO).
It is the aim of the service to build a robust and expert paediatric medical team that has the ability to provide out-of-hours cover for urgent medical examinations and advice seven days per week, between the hours of 5pm and 10pm on weekdays, and between 9am and 10pm at weekends and on Bank Holidays. Ideally this will involve the recruitment of ten doctors to stand-alone regional SARC out-of-hours rota, with each participant thus contributing to a 1:10 rota (with prospective cover).”
A Trust-wide waiting list may be compiled for similar permanent/temporary, full/part time posts which may arise within the next 6 months.
