Job Details

The practice is well situated just off the M4 working from purpose built premises, commissioned in November 2015. You will join a thriving and happy practice of just over 6,200 patients with 4 General Practitioners, Practice Pharmacist, Minor Illness Nurse and a full NHS complimentary team. We operate a GP telephone triage system and ASKMYGP online service

The successful candidate will be employed by the GP Practice/Medical Centre, not Swansea Bay University Health Board

Main duties of the job

We are looking for salaried GP, with a view to partnership if desired, to join our existing team of four partners, to start as soon as possible.

We can offer the successful candidate a supportive working environment with evenly distributed workload and great clinical and administrative support.

We have been a triage practice since 2015 and have offered askmyGP as our online service since April 2020.

The successful candidate will provide either 4 or 6 clinical sessions per week.

  • Practice list size 6,200
  • 6 weeks annual leave with pro-rata bank holidays
  • High achievement in QOF, with excellent admin support
  • Forward thinking, dynamic practice pilot site for new IT initiatives
  • Special interests encouraged.
  • Long-established and well-regarded training practice for Specialty GP trainees and Foundation Year 2 doctors, as well as Cardiff final year medical students
  • Pharmacist and nurse-led chronic disease management and minor illness clinics
  • Vision and askmyGP
  • Competitive rate of pay, with annual uplifts. MPS fees included
  • Review for potential partnership opportunity at 12 months
  • Practice takes an active role in local cluster work - one of our partners is Neath Cluster Lead
