This post is not recognised for training but will offer the same experience as the ST1 and F2s who share the rota. Currently runs on a 6 persons rota, this will be made available on appointment.
The ENT service for Gloucestershire is organised on a countywide basis. We are a busy district general ENT service offering wide spectrum of ENT services. We are one of the busiest Head and Neck (H&N) cancer services in the South-West, and a nationally recognised cholesteatoma service. Our medium-term strategy is to further expand services, most notably the use of robotics surgery in H&N.
We have a dedicated H&N ward in the trust, with experienced nurses in managing our H&N patient, some with complexes needs due to altered airways with flap reconstruction. We have dedicated H&N theatres, with views of further expansion of theatre space in peripheral hospitals.
We are a large organisation providing acute services from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester and Cheltenham General Hospital to a population of 652,475* in Gloucestershire as well as caring for patients from surrounding counties and beyond.
Our workforce is almost 8,000 strong and our caring and dedicated staff are recognised as providing good and outstanding patient-centred, high quality emergency, elective and specialist care across a range of clinical areas.
We are committed to recruiting the best people to work with us to achieve our Vision of providing Best Care for Everyone and our success depends on the commitment and dedication of our staff, many of whom are world leaders in healthcare, teaching and research. You could make a real difference to our patients' lives by joining our team.
