Job overview
The Department of Dermatology at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking to add to its medical team with a 12 month Specialty Doctor post. The service requires a dynamic individual to help support deliver patient care in a constantly dynamic and demanding environment
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to be able to conduct outpatient clinics such as new patient clinics, follow up clinics and minor ops where suitable.
The post holder will provide Clinical Supervision of Trainees, Nurse practitioners and Junior doctors. There are currently no on call commitments.
The incumbent will be expected to play an active role in the research and academic activities of the department. They will be expected to identify and develop audit and research questions and lead on these studies. They will be expected to develop posters, presentations and papers for meetings and conferences.

The Trust’s secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.
HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
