Clinical Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Experimental Medicine and Rheumatology (Teaching & Research)

About the Role

Applications are invited for a Teaching/Research Post to support the clinical, translational research and teaching, within the Centre of Experimental Medicine & Rheumatology QMUL and the Department of Rheumatology Barts Health. This program will potentially attract core national and international Rheumatology physicians. 

About You

The appointee will be expected to make important contributions to the field of Experimental Medicine, Immunology and Rheumatology.

Candidates are required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining an appropriate certificate of completion of training at the time of interview. In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.

The post is based at Chaterhouse Square Campus and Mile End Hospital in London. 

This is a full time post (40 hours per week, 10 PAs with 5 Academic and 5 NHS), permenant appointment indefinitely, but subject to a successful Joint QMUL-Trust appraisal at the end of the 1st year. The post has an expected start date of 2nd January 2023. Starting salary will be on the Honorary Consultant (2003) payscale, in the range of £84,559 - £92,503 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
