Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Breast & Body Imaging to work across the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and University Hospital Llandough (UHL) sites within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and the Breast Test Wales site in Cardiff. This post will provide an exciting opportunity to further develop the existing Breast and Body Cross Sectional service within the Health Board.

There are sessions at both the Cardiff Breast Centre and the Breast Test Wales screening centre situated in the centre of Cardiff. Both centres consist of clinic rooms, state-of-the-art radiology facilities, counselling rooms, multidisciplinary teaching room, offices for staff, and at the Llandough Breast Centre there is a gym facility for patient's exercise prescription service. Both units have active multidisciplinary teams with dedicated Breast Care Nurses, research team, and a physiotherapist.

The All Wales Radiology Training Scheme and Radiology registrars are based at UHW and work closely with the Consultant Radiologists to provide a reliable continuous on-call service. This teaching requirement is an important aspect of the Consultant's job plan and workload.
