Locum Consultant in Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery

This is a 10PA locum appointment for a Consultant Cleft Lip and Palate Surgeon. This post will be available from August for a period of 6 months initially.

This post will deliver 10PAs supporting the cleft lip and palate team. The post will be based at Leeds Children's Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary. The successful candidates will support the team in providing tertiary Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery for the region.

The post will be based at Leeds Children's Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary.

The successful applicant should possess CCST in a recognised cleft surgical specialty and must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK, or have references which have been authorised by the Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Director. They should be able to demonstrate competence in paediatric general urology, including endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.

Applicants should have established skills in cleft lip and palate surgery. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential.
