Our services

We provide a comprehensive range of services including in the community and hospital settings: talking therapies, mental health servicesfor adults, children and adolescents, drug and alcohol, learning disability,eating disorder, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorderclinic, forensic and other mental health.

The Liaison Psychiatry service at Ashford and St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust has been running for many years and offers support for adults over 18 years of age, presenting with mental health problems at the Hospital ED and to inpatients settings. The service operates 24/7.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Specialty Doctor(10 PA's = 40 hours/weekin Liaison Psychiatric Services at St Peter's Hospital, Ashford and St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH), Chertsey, to join the team where we are continuously embracing new ways of working whilst putting people who uses our services at forefront.

This role is based at our well-established Core 24 Liaison Service based at ASPH. The Team is a multi-disciplinary comprising staff from different professional backgrounds and including administrative support.

Research & development, audit and quality improvement are strongly advocated, and we actively support involvement in QI and audit projects. Within Surrey and Borders Partnership Foundation NHS Trust we have an existing strong team of liaison psychiatrists with a range of skills and interests who provide assessment, diagnosis and ongoing care to people in Surrey. The Directorate offers a supportive and encouraging environment in which to develop as a professional with opportunities to develop areas of interest.

About you

You will have:

- A recognised basic Medical Degree, MB BS or equivalent

- Full Medical Registration (GMC)

- Experience in psychiatry at Foundation level or SHO level this can be in liaison psychiatry, community services in WAA or OA or acute services such as HTT and inpatient wards

- General practice or medical experience or work in acute trusts in other specialties.

- Salary: depending on experience £45,274-£77,519 including fringe
