Trinity Hospice, Blackpool with Blkackpool Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Trinity Hospice wishes to appoint a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic consultant to join a supportive and forward-thinking team.

Trinity is a hospice without walls, and by joining our multi-disciplinary team as our new Consultant, working with our inpatient and community teams, you will be supporting us in the realisation of our strategic vision for our adult services into the future.
You will be enhancing and supporting the leadership and development of a fantastic, flexible and responsive clinical team with the skills and competences needed to support the changing and growing palliative and end of life care needs of our local Fylde Coast population, empowering patients from all backgrounds with life limiting conditions, and their families, to continue to live as well as possible until they die.
You will be working with our consultant colleagues and teams in our hospital and community services, our wider MDT and collaboratively with our local key system partners with the support of strong leadership from our Board and Executive Team to ensure we continue to reach all who need us across the Fylde Coast.

Trinity Hospice is rated as Outstanding by the CQC and has Investor in People Gold accreditation.  The Hospice is based in Blackpool but serves the wider geographic area covering the entire Fylde coast and beyond, with a community of c350,000.  The hospice has both an adult and children’s unit alongside a wide range of other services.  Trinity has an excellent reputation as a forward thinking, high performing and progressive organisation and for being a great place to work.

The successful candidate will be appointed on NHS terms and conditions but will be working for and based at Trinity Hospice.  The candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid licence to practice and will have completed Specialist Training (or equivalent).  The post is advertised at full time (10PA) but candidates wishing to work flexibly including less than full time or job share are welcome to apply.

Informal discussions or visits are welcome.  To arrange these, please contact Dr Gillian Au Medical Director on 01253 952599 or email,
