An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to appoint a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary Forensic Community Mental Health Team. 

Fife Forensic Services comprise of a multidisciplinary community team based at Lynebank hospital Dunfermline and a specialist low secure inpatient unit; Radernie Ward, at Stratheden Hospital. There are close working relationships within the service. The remit of this post is to cover a community caseload with the community services based at Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline.

This is an exciting time in NHS Fife as we facilitate developments across mental health services, including in forensic psychiatry, that are underpinned by our new Mental Health Strategy and significant estates project. You will be supported in providing strong clinical leadership. We offer a friendly and flexible working environment and the HSCP supports and encourages consultants in their professional development.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of the anticipated award of a CCT at the date of interview or have confirmation from the GMC that CESR has been awarded at the date of application.

This post may be eligible for Tier 2 sponsorship if required.
