Applications are invited for a full-time Consultant Cellular Pathologist to join an established and committed team of nine Pathologists.
This post offers the exciting opportunity to practice pathology to a high standard within a forward thinking team of supportive colleagues. The CTM health board area affords an enviable quality of life with close links to the vibrant Capital City of Cardiff and beautiful Welsh coast and countryside.
The post would suit either a first-time Consultant looking to develop a specialist interest or an established Consultant
Cellular Pathologist wishing to further develop within a new environment.
We provide a wide range of services which generate a broad
and varied cellular pathology workload including specimens from dermatology, gynaecology, head and neck, lung, breast and gastrointestinal, including bowel screening specimens.
The Royal Glamorgan is developing as the health boards' 'Centre of Excellence' for Breast cancer with a dedicated Breast Cancer unit in the advanced stages of planning.
There is the opportunity to participate in coronial autopsies, which is currently an optional element of the job plan.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a
Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR (CP) at the time of interview.
