Led by a team of industry-experienced clinicians, we have substantial expertise in mitigating offshore and occupational health risks as well leading on the health component of any offshore health event or emergency.  Today we support over 140 offshore sites in UKCS, 60 of which are O&G producing assets.

Doctors with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply for our Occupational Health Doctor recruitment drive to strengthen the skills in our clinics across the UK.  Locations include Teesside, Glasgow and Aberdeen where we service a range of clients from the energy industry.

We are seeking both experienced Occupational Health Doctors and those just beginning their Occupational Health career and we will support you to develop your skills and knowledge within Occupational Health, building your confidence to take on the challenges. We provide Specialist training in Occupational Medicine in one of 3 approved Training Posts and we can support in completing your diploma in Occupational Medicine.

Our Doctors work as part of a fully integrated multidisciplinary team of highly experienced and valued clinicians to support our clients in implementing proactive health programmes and optimising attendance at work.

You will be supporting our Occupational Medical Service within the General Medical Council (GMC) and Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) Codes of Professional Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice.  Working closely with the Client Relationship and Account Management team, you will ensure that services are delivered in line with the Client contract and their expectations whilst providing clinical supervision to any International SOS or Client medics engaged on the assigned contracts. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical advisory, technical occupational health consultancy work
  • Day to day clinical service delivery including routine medical screening, occupational health consultations, assessing medevacs, medical advisory and consultancy services, specialist medical services and clinics, product innovation, health data protection, health intelligence
  • Work closely with Clinical Directors and Medical Director on assigned projects
  • Be prepared to take on the role of Clinical Lead in a field deemed suitable
  • Provide clinical supervision and relevant clinical training to more junior clinical staff, Nurses, Technicians and offshore Medics
  • Clinical supervision of medics on assigned contract(s) to deliver services in line with legislation, and the contract and client’s expectations
  • Conduct audits and/or site visits as required at onshore or offshore, client or International SOS locations
  • Participation in Topside rota and Diving Medicine Rota where clinical background appropriate

Required Qualifications:
