Within the Canterbury DHB our Gastroenterology Department provides comprehensive secondary and tertiary level inpatient, and outpatient services to Canterbury and locations throughout the South Island.
We are seeking Gastroenterologists to join us in 2022 in permanent positions, with the flexibility to work part-time and full-time. With us, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of gastroenterology services at the regional and national level, alongside working with a supportive team.
Competence in general gastroenterology and endoscopy is required, and sub-specialist experience is welcomed. The position also entails provision of clinical training and supervision of medical staff, students and other staff as required, participation in the gastroenterology on-call roster, and participation in Departmental research and audit activities.
Pehea - About you
We are open to applications from newly qualified through to experienced physicians. Remuneration will be based on the equivalent cumulative experience of the applicant and matched to the appropriate step within the Medical and Dental Specialists Multi Employment Collective Agreement (MECA).
You will be a Registered Medical Practitioner who hold an approved higher qualification in Medicine, enabling Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
