Applications are invited for a 6 month Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist post with a specialist interest in Paediatrics and Ocular Motility, based at Singleton Hospital in Swansea.

You will be joining a team of 10 Consultants responsible for the provision of Ophthalmology services to the Swansea Bay University Health Board. You will participate in the 1 in 10 on call rota at Singleton Hospital, with prospective cover.

Services are currently in the process of being reconfigured to ensure they remain safe and sustainable for the future. There may therefore be occasions when the successful applicant may be requested to work at other locations within the Health board and regionally within Hywel Dda University Health Board but the post will be based at Singleton Hospital.

Great emphasis is placed upon continuous professional development and the successful applicants will be actively supported in their development and achievement of personal goals. The Trust has modern seminar rooms, libraries and video libraries fully equipped with the latest technology.
