Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry.

This is a part-time, 6 PA post based at Green Lane Hospital, Devizes, Wiltshire.  The West Wiltshire CMHT operates a 5-day a week service.   The team is ageless working with adults of all ages, although workers work primarily with either adults of working age or older adults.

The postholder will provide input and leadership to the team with particular responsibility for patients from surgeries in Melksham, Trowbridge and Bradford-on-Avon.

Wiltshire has been commended by consultant colleagues as working with ‘supportive and caring staff’.   Medical students and trainee doctors have regular placements in Wiltshire and there are close links with both Bristol and Southampton University with research and teaching opportunities.  Medical students are placed at Green Lane Hospital and therefore teaching opportunities are available.

Devizes has a weekly Academic programme with outside speakers. In addition, there is a monthly PDP group and Peer Supervision. CPD activities are supported.
