Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Cardiac Radiologist based at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
Our department has an ambitious programme of recovery following the COVID pandemic. Our aim is to have our diagnostic capabilities at the centre of transforming health care for our patients. This appointment along with several other Consultant Radiologist posts forms a central part of strengthening our department to have a clinically led diagnostics transformation programme. Joining our team will enable you to be part of improving health care, ensuring patients receive more timely diagnostics and interventions and implementing pathway changes in line with our organisational strategy.

We have positions available in a range of sub-specialities - this post in Cardiac Radiology as well as posts in Neuro-interventional Radiology, Neuro-diagnostic Radiology, Paediatric Radiology, and Body Imaging to work across the University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough sites in Cardiff.
The appointee will provide added support for an increasing workload and will deliver a professional and integral service as part of a dynamic and skilled team. The appointment is due to expansion in service needs and to continue to provide excellence, across multiple sub specialities.
We have strong research and development opportunities, and academic interests and aspirations will be encouraged in collaboration with Cardiff University's School of Medicine.
We have a flexible approach too, as although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require flexible working arrangements dependant on the organisation's needs.

Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
You will be able to take advantage of the excellent Consultant contract for Wales. The basic salary range for this post is £79,957 per annum to £103,806 per annum plus a further £26,672 per annum available in Commitment Awards.
Applicants must ensure they provide the names and contact details of referees covering at least the last three years of their employment/training history in full. In addition, applicants who are currently or have most recently been employed as a substantive Consultant or as a Locum Consultant in post for more than 12 months must also provide the name of their Medical Director as an additional referee.
