University Hospitals Plymouth would like to invite applications for six consultant anaesthetist posts. These posts are both replacement and new posts to cover an expanding workload. This is in addition to our current workforce of over sixty consultants.
University Hospitals Plymouth is the largest hospital Trust in the Southwest Peninsula and offers a secondary care service to approximately 500,000 patients, and a tertiary care service to a further 1.5 million. We are a major trauma centre. Almost all adult surgical specialties are catered for and we are the main paediatric surgical hospital in the peninsula.
The successful applicants will be joining a friendly and supportive department that has held ACSA Accreditation since 2015 and is proud of its collegiate spirit and cohesiveness. We have a strong record in clinical excellence & translational research and receive strong positive feedback from our rotating trainees. In addition, the department has significant involvement in teaching through the Peninsula School of Medicine.
