We are recruiting a consultant, accredited with a CCT (or within 6 months of CCT date) in either Medical Microbiology or dual Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, as a full-time (10 PA to be reviewed after commencing, see Job Description) substantive post. Part time applicants will also be considered.
This is a replacement consultant post with a focus support the clinical microbiology service with colleagues at the PRUH. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of consultants at PRUH and DH sites with expertise across a broad range of areas including mycology, infection control, and infectious diseases as well as virology at DH based London South Specialist Virology Centre. Our team has a clinically driven focus on infection management that incorporates innovative diagnostic approaches and encourages academia, with the overall objective to improve patient outcomes.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent to be eligible for interview.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years), therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
