We are seeking a Cardiologist to join our dynamic, innovative, and friendly team focusing on the delivery of high-quality specialised care to the growing population in the Midcentral region.

The successful applicant should demonstrate a proven record of clinical excellence and an understanding of departmental development.

Experience with pacemaker implantation, and/or adult congenital heart disease is desirable.

Our cardiology service delivers diagnostic angiography, diagnostic cardiac physiology, cardiac imaging (including echocardiography, CTCA, cardiac MRI and myocardial perfusion). Outpatient consultation, specialist inpatient care and an integrated heart failure service is provided by a strong specialist medical, nursing and allied health workforce.

Midcentral DHB is currently developing a new dedicated cardiac cath lab to expand the service and include elective PCI by the end of 2022. This is an exciting time for the service and we need a cardiologist with the skills and expertise to help us create enhanced services that will meet the needs of our ever diverse communities and cultures.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
