Are you looking for new challenge? Are you interested in developing new skills as part of portfolio working?
We are looking for 3 GP's to join our Dementia and Older Persons Mental Health Service at Cornwall Foundation Trust to work at the interface between primary care and specialist services to assist with diagnosis of dementia for care home residents and those living with frailty. As new role for the service there will be a need for flexibility and engagement in service development. The post will also involve providing education to colleagues and supporting diagnosis in primary care.
This is a fixed term developmental role initially for 12 months with a view to extending to a long-term post. Induction, training and protected CPD time as well as allocated consultant psychiatrist mentor will allow development of necessary skills and expertise. There will also opportunity to under-take a funded postgraduate diploma/certificate.
We are looking for 3 GPs one for each locality area - North and East Cornwall, Mid Cornwall and West Cornwall (flexibility on number of sessions)
