Consultant in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Due to retirement an opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and well-resourced Community CAMHS Team in Guernsey. The post holder will be one of two full time Consultant psychiatrists within a generic CAMHS team. The team offer a range of therapeutic interventions including family therapy, CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, IPT, Groups for parents and Young People, and we work closely with our colleagues in paediatrics and other agencies. We are committed to enable Young People to access the Service on island and wherever possible avoid off island admissions.
This is an opportunity for a psychiatrist who enjoys working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team and across the width of specialist CAMHS presentations. There will be flexibility and opportunity to develop special interests.
The post holder will be part of a bimonthly CAMHS Psychiatry Peer group with our colleagues from Jersey CAMHS and a member of the local team of psychiatrists in Guernsey providing opportunity for complex case discussion and CPD.
Generous relocation package and low tax (20% flat rate)
Payment of MDU, GMC and RCPsych fees
Study budget £4000 per annum

- Confirmation of required qualifications / registrations
- Possession of a valid Employment Permit
Should the successful applicant not meet the requirements sufficiently he/she may be appointed at a lower grade than stated. The successful applicant would then have the opportunity to progress to the grade advertised once the necessary skills and knowledge have been developed and they have demonstrated the ability to undertake the duties at the higher level.
