This is an opportunity for a consultant psychiatrist experienced in psychiatry (adult and or forensic) and psychotherapy to join a well-established expert service. The role is a full time (10PA’s) substantive consultant post but applications from candidates who want to work less than full time are also encouraged.
The Fens Service at HMP Whitemoor provides an innovative, holistic and trauma-focused therapeutic programme within a transformative community as part of the Offenders with Personality Disorder Pathway (OPDP).
The Consultant is a central figure in the Fens Senior leadership team, providing strategic direction for the treatment model as well as psychiatric leadership within an experienced multi-professional team.
The post provides numerous opportunities to develop and combine special interests combine special interests including clinical, service development related, and medical education. There are excellent links with university academic departments and the potential to be involved in research. The consultant would be a valued colleague in an innovative and supportive NHS Trust.
