Consultants in Adult Critical Care
1x Consultant Intensivist
Applications are invited for Consultant Intensivist posts in Adult Critical Care at St George’s University Hospitals Foundation Trust, London. These opportunities have arisen due to retirements and expansion of services.
We are looking for excellent individuals to join the Critical Care team of this progressive London teaching hospital. In addition to General Intensive Care, the Directorate specialises in Cardiothoracic/Cardiology Intensive Care, Neuro Intensive Care and supports an Outreach service, Critical Care Retrieval Service, and a Survivorship programme. Experience or interest in these areas is beneficial and training will be given to those who wish to pursue such sub-specialisation.
The Directorate will be expanding over the next two years, with funding secured for a 20 bedded new-build in addition to the 62 existing beds. This is an opportunity to become involved in the development of this long-term expansion, shape clinical care, introduce new services, develop research opportunities, and bring your own interests to support the growth of the department.
Subject to activity, there is the opportunity to arrange a proportion of DCC in a secondary specialty of interest within the Critical Care Directorate, Anaesthesia, academia, or an alternative supporting specialty.
Applicants should have the FFICM or an equivalent intensive care qualification and have suitable experience and qualifications in their proposed secondary specialty.
Enquiries about the posts should be directed to Dr Dominic Spray (Clinical Director) via the Department of Critical Care on 020 8725 4164 or at dominic.spray@nhs.net. Informal enquiries are encouraged, and less-than-full-time applicants are welcome.
