Llanilar Health Centre is based in the beautiful village of Llanilar, only 6 miles from the University town of Aberystwyth, close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline and the Cambrian Mountains. The two Partner Practice also employs a Salaried GP, a Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacy Technician and benefits from an onsite dispensary.

Encompassing an area of outstanding coastal and rural beauty in West Wales, the area particularly benefits from:

•Stunning scenery, from rolling hills to beautiful river valleys and spectacular blue flag beaches

•Active outdoor pursuits to suit everyone, from cycling, to walking, sailing, surfing or lazing on the beach

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic locum or salaried GP to work with us, either on a temporary or permanent basis. We are a strong, supportive team and are pleased to work with colleagues at all points of their career. We offer our GPs a range of flexible working options together with a competitive remuneration package based on the BMA GP contract.

The practice offers patients a same day telephone triage system following a usual doctor list, which allows both flexibility in terms of offering patients the most appropriate advice and treatment, but also maintaining continuity of care.

Llanilar Health Centre is part of Cambrian Primary Care Federation, comprising of 4 GP practices based in Ceredigion, which serves a population of approximately 17,000 patients. It was formed in 2016 so that Practices can work together to develop services for patients, share skills between the surgeries, jointly employ staff and provide strengthened general practice services in Mid Wales.

Its vision is to improve patient outcomes by promoting the sustainability and resilience of the GP Practices in North Ceredigion. By developing different ways of working together and delivering services jointly, patients will be able to see a greater number of different types of health care professionals in their home or local surgery. These different healthcare professionals include Nurses, Pharmacists, Advanced MSK Physiotherapists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Associates who will often see patients from more than one surgery. One of the most innovative federations in Wales will be able to offer you:

•Very competitive pay scales and flexible work patterns

•High quality training and incredible professional support

•Opportunity to provide real general practice with scope for in-depth experience and practice in a variety of clinical areas.

All 4 practices' utilise highly skilled administrators to manage incoming correspondence cutting down the GP clinical admin workload. Our chronic disease management clinics are all nurse led with GP input when required. We are all high achieving, well-organised practices' and use Vision clinical system with Docman. We are also teaching practices' for medical students/registrar's/F2's/PA's and have recently become the first GP Training Federation in Wales.

This is an excellent and exciting time for a GP wishing to engage in contributing to redesigning services locally and improve patient care for the population whilst working in a refreshing and happy team-based environment.

For more information, or informal discussion please contact our Practice Manager, Ms Helen Casso-Davies.
