Senior Clinical Fellow fixed term post

This a full time Clinical Fellow Post/ IMT3 in response to service need based in the Medical Division. This post is a full shift rolling rota with nights and weekends included. This post is available till August 2022.

Successful Candidates may expect to work at the level of Internal Medicine Year 3 equivalent role.

The primary role of the clinical fellow is to work alongside nursing and medical colleagues to clerk and manage the Older Peoples Emergency Department (OPED) from November 2021 till February 2022 and to work in Rheumatology until first week of August 2022. On call commitments will include participating in the IMTY3 rota, Rheumatology out of hours middle grade rota and OPED 1:6 weekends 0800-1800.

There are excellent opportunities for discussing the management of complex specialty patients; the Acute Medicine Unit has rolling daily specialty ward rounds from the following specialties: nephrology, respiratory, cardiology, gastroenterology, older peoples' medicine, endocrine/diabetes, oncology, haematology and neurology.

A candidate who is unable for personal reasons to undertake the duties of a whole-time post will receive equal consideration. If such a candidate is appointed the job content will be modified as appropriate in consultation with consultant colleagues and local management.
