Locum Consultant Physician - Care of the Elderly
We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales's capital city, of Cardiff and Swansea to the west, and less than an hour drive to the stunning scenery in the Brecon Beacons.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant to join our dedicated team looking after the Care of the Elderly patients at the Princess of Wales Hospital .This exciting opportunity has become available due to opportunities to work differently within the care of the Elderly team and work cooperatively with our Front Door colleagues to provide an efficient and effective Frailty at the Front Door Service Model. The successful applicant will be a key member of the Care of the Elderly team and with the potential opportunity to secure a substantive post within the Directorate potentially.
The post holder will be required to work closely with Medical consultant body and support the junior medical and Advanced Clinical Pratitioner team in a variety of clinical settings.
The successful candidate will be able to develop their knowledge and skills in a busy department with a high turnover of patient's .The post-holder will participate in the General Medicine on-call rota commensurate with experience.
