Resident on-call Consultant

Obstetrics and Gynaecology

(with an interest in Feto/Maternal Medicine)

A substantive Resident On-Call Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology to join the existing team of Consultants at West Suffolk Hospital is required. The post would ideally suit someone with a special interest in Fetal medicine and risk (obstetric governance) but includes both Obstetrics and Gynaecology duties.

The duties would include involvement in the middle grade on call arrangements.

The post holder should be fully registered with the General Medical Council, hold a Licence to Practise and be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or be within 6 months of gaining the Certificate of Completion of Training at the time of interview.

West Suffolk Hospital is a University of Cambridge Teaching Hospital foundation Trust and is a busy and popular hospital. It is run by a forward-thinking Trust, which has achieved foundation status.

The Trust has close links with Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and Cambridge University Medical School. Situated in the heart of East Anglia, the Cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds provides sophisticated facilities in a traditional and unspoilt rural town setting. There is also easy access to the Midlands, London and the East Coast.

We would welcome any applicants wishing to visit the department and this can be arranged via
