Senior Fellow in Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Fellow in the Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery department based at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, commencing in August 2022 for 12 months.

The department currently comprises nine substantive orthopaedic surgeons, all of whom take part in the paediatric trauma on-call, 5 specialist trainees (Severn deanery) and 3 junior clinical fellows.

This post is intended to support the development of senior trainees who wish to pursue a career as a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon.

The successful individual will gain experience in a wide range of secondary and tertiary elective referrals as well as the management of routine and complex trauma cases, as the hospital serves as the Paediatric Major Trauma Unit for South West England.
