Specialist Forensic Community Team
Full time, Fixed term 13 months, 10 sessions per week

This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a 13 months fixed term Consultant post to cover maternity leave in a newly revamped and transformed Specialist Community Forensic Team across Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham.

West London NHS Trust is one of the largest most diverse mental health providers in the UK, employing around 3,000 staff who are providing care and treatment for around 20,000 people each year and serving a local population of approximately 700,000 residents. West London Forensic Services provide assessment, treatment and care in conditions of medium and low security and community for men and women from London and other parts of the UK. There is a community Forensic CAMHS (FCAMHS) team within this service. Local Services provide inpatient and community care for adults of working age and older people and community CAMHS in Hounslow, Ealing and Hammersmith and Fulham. The Trust acts as a teaching centre for Undergraduates and for Postgraduate Trainees in psychiatry. The forensic service also attracts a significant level of international interest from students and practising clinicians who do short term visiting placements.

Main duties of the job

Applications are invited from candidates with experience of Forensic Psychiatry for a Consultant Psychiatrist post in the EHH hub of our newly transformed SCFT Team of West London Forensic Service (WLFS), West London NHS Trust. Applicants should have Higher Training in Adult or Forensic Psychiatry and it is essential to demonstrate experience in forensic psychiatry. Applicants must be registered with a licence to practice with the GMC. Inclusion on the Specialist Register or within six months of interview is a requirement. All applicants should have Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status. The post holds a community caseload and works with a full multidisciplinary team. The salary range for this post is £84,559-£114,003 plus London Zone Weighting of £2,162 per annum
