Applications are invited for the above post in Dermatology at Beckenham Beacon, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a (1 WTE) Consultant Dermatologist with an interest in Skin Surgery and Skin Cancer to join our team providing high-quality dermatological care. The successful applicant will join a team of six consultants, Specialty Doctor and Clinical Fellow, supported by a team of dermatology nurses and Clinical Nurse Specialists, providing a comprehensive dermatology service. The team works closely with the Bromley Intermediate Dermatology Service, currently delivered by three experienced GPwERs.

The appointee will undertake two-week wait skin cancer clinics, a general dermatology clinic and two skin surgery lists per week. The appointee will work on a rota with their consultant colleagues to provide inpatient dermatology consults, mostly via teledermatology with some ward visits. The post includes SPA time for the Skin Cancer Lead role in the department. The post holder will be encouraged to develop preexisting links with Mohs, Maxillofacial and Plastic surgery units in the region.

If the appointee wishes to work less than full time, this can be negotiated as part of the appointment process. Beckenham Beacon is located within the central area of Beckenham excellent public transport links (rail, tram, bus) to Central London and other surrounding areas. Staff parking is available on site. Beckenham is known for its pleasant atmosphere and there are excellent schools in the area.

Applicants preferring a less than full time role will be considered.

You must be fully registered with the GMC, hold a Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent to be eligible for interview.

The post holder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years), therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
