Family Medicine Consultant or Specialist Job, Qatar

Prospect Health are working with Qatar’s leading Primary Healthcare provider to recruit a number of Consultant and Specialist General Practitioners / Family Medicine Doctors. The positions are to start in the coming 3 – 9 months with varied join dates available. Please see below for the criteria for consultant / specialist titles.

The Company

Our client has a vast number of medical centres around Qatar with the majority close to the capital city, Doha. They are continuing their rapid expansion to ensure that they are able to deliver high quality healthcare to the ever-expanding population of Qatar.

The Location

Qatar is a very wealthy country with one of the highest GDP per capita anywhere in the world. It is one of the most sought after destinations in the middle east due to its more liberal lifestyle than some neighbouring countries.

There is a good mix of history, culture and the modern world with heavy investment in infrastructure to attract business and of course, the upcoming world cup.

Whilst a tiny country, it has a lot to offer and you will find plenty to do on days off and in an evening with great entertainment facilities, fabulous beaches and an array of international cuisine.

Requirements / Remuneration for the roles

The packages on offer are fixed and relate directly to eligibility set by the Qatar Council for Health Practitioners (QCHP):

• A candidate is eligible for a Consultant Family Medicine  position if they meet the following criteria;

• Hold a recognizable degree of  Family Medicine / General Practice   (listed in the approved qualifications by DHP) from UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, France, Germany, Australia, Austria, Spain, Belgium & Ireland.
• Has Two peer reviewed published articles post Specialization degree, one can be a case study noting that the candidate should be the 1^st or the 2^nd author
• Has minimum three years of experience post Specialization Degree of “Family Medicine”

Salary Circa £9,500 per month plus accommodation, schooling and business class flights

A candidate is eligible for a Specialist Family Medicine  position if they meet the following criteria;

• Hold a recognizable degree of  Family Medicine / General Practice  (listed in the approved qualifications by DHP) from UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, France, Germany, Australia, Austria, Spain, Belgium & Ireland.

Salary circa £6,500 per month plus accommodation, schooling and economy class flights

Please note, without the two peer reviewed published articles they will not grant a consultant licence but you would still be eligible for specialist licence.
