Job Details

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual for this exciting role.

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trusts’ Occupational Health (OH) Service is one of the biggest NHS OH Services in the UK and has been accredited by SEQOHS since 2012. The OH Service in Leicester provides Occupational Health services to a number of NHS organisations and other companies in and around Leicester/shire.

This post has been developed to replace a 0.5 WTE consultant post following a retirement. The appointment will be 5 PA’s. You would be welcome to work flexibly e.g. around other part time work/non-work commitments, or on the basis of an annualised hours contract.

Working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team which includes senior medical colleagues, this post may appeal to applicants who have recently completed their specialist training, as well as those with more experience, who wish to work in a collegiate and supportive environment. It is envisaged that you will assume clinical responsibility for a particular area of work, supervise others in the team, and work collaboratively and strategically with UHL management as the host employer.

There is a mentorship scheme for all new consultant staff, this is designed to help and assist new appointees to settle into working at UHL as easily as possible. It is designed to assist individuals in a personal way to familiarise them with the Trust and how things work in practice.

You will be working in the OH Departments at University Hospitals of Leicester, and this may include off-site clinics.

It is preferable for applicants to have access to a vehicle and a full Driving Licence. A high level of computer literacy is essential.
