Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Paediatric Radiology
This is a replacement within the Imaging and Medical Physics Services, Clinical Support & Imaging Services Clinical Management Group (CSI CMG). You will join an established cohesive team of paediatric radiologists in delivering acute and elective imaging in both specialist areas and in general radiology. You will also be providing paediatric imaging services to Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
It is expected that you will take part in the provision of specialised emergency imaging across UHL.
You will join the existing on call rota, approximately 1 in 6 delivering acute imaging to the UHL and will include checking all emergency cross sectional imaging and reporting the acute plain radiographs during on-call weekends.
A major refurbishment programme of all Trust MRI and CT scanners has recently been completed ensuring the latest technology is available.
The service has strong links to academic and other radiology departments; the opportunity to be involved in research is available for interested candidates. You will be expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and clinical governance.
We are one of the biggest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country, serving one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland - and increasingly specialist services over a much wider area.
Our patients are at the heart of all we do, and we believe that "Caring at its Best" is not just about the treatments and services we provide, but about giving our patients the best possible experience. That's why we're proud to be part of the NHS and we're proud to be Leicester's Hospitals.
Those interested are strongly recommended to contact the service and arrange a visit.
