Permanent Full Time Post – 10 PA’s Per Week
Consultant Role: 6 PA’s
Clinical Director: 4 PAs Per Week Plus 1 PA Responsibility Allowance
£84,984 - £112,925 per annum
(Clinical Director role 3 years fixed term with option to continue or revert to a substantive 10PA clinical role after review)
We are keen to work with a Radiologist who is experienced in medical leadership, is strategic in outlook, interested in developing and advancing services and has an absolute commitment to radiological services for the people of the Scottish Highlands; promoting quality and putting patients and staff at the heart of what our values into action for a wide range of specialist services.
The Clinical Director role of this post is to lead, co-ordinate and support, together with members of the general management team, the planning, redesign and delivery of all Radiology services provided by NHS Highland, including any hosted or outsourced services and to participate as required in the Acute Services Division and NHS Highland in partnership with the services, the Head of Operations, the Deputy Medical Director and Chief Officer of Acute Services.
We are an important part of the North of Scotland Health Boards collaboration and the Scotland Radiology National Transformation Programme. We have recently completed a Critical Services Upgrade Programme. We have two MRI scanners recently replaced and in the process of upgrading CT and DXR. In addition, we have recently been awarded over £5Mk for high end equipment replacement and work very closely with Medical Physics and Radiation Protection colleagues based on the main Raigmore Hospital Site. An exciting development is in the build stage is our National Treatment Centre due to open in autumn 2022. There are also important digital opportunities and innovation we want to progress.

Inverness is the Highland capital and is steadily growing to provide a wide range of cultural, leisure and recreational attractions.
