Clinical Fellow in Neurology (MS Specialist Interest)
Applications are invited for the 12-month fixed term full-time post of Clinical Fellow in Neurology, with a specialist interest in Neuroinflammatory Disease. The successful candidate will support the current provision of MS services to the population of South East Wales.
The Neuroinflammatory service at the University Hospital of Wales is a tertiary referral service, supported by a network of community-based nurse-led and primary care clinics. A multidisciplinary team of dedicated staff, including 8 specialist nurses, 2 research nurses, 2 physiotherapists, 1 neuropsychologist, 1 occupational therapist, 3 consultant neurologists and 3 secretaries and a data manager form the core clinical team. Work is supported by an all Wales integrated database management system.
Academic interests will be encouraged; research and teaching in collaboration with Cardiff University's School of Medicine will be expected.
Although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require flexible working arrangements.
Applicants should hold full GMC/GDC Registration with a licence to practice, MRCP and either be on the Specialist Register for Neurology or Specialty Registrar with CCT/equivalent date within six months of interview date.
The salary applicable is on the SpR pay scale (Wales) and will be specified in the contract.
