Thank you for considering applying for the role of Deputy Medical Director (Quality). We are looking for a consultant to join us in leading The Princess Alexandra Hospital in our aim to deliver the highest quality care in a way that engages all of us (patients, carers and healthcare-givers) both in the hospital and the community. Over the next 6 years we will be working within a fully-fledged integrated care system and partnership, we will have moved to a new hospital and we will have embraced the best of digitisation. It will be a period of great opportunity to set the highest standards and create great innovation.

The interview will be held on Friday 9th July.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Medical Director for Quality is critical to the delivery of the highest quality and safest care for our patients. The role will require that you commit to 4 PAs within your job plan, that you are present and available for the committees and working groups necessary to set direction and that you develop strong collaborative working relationships with senior leaders in the organisation from all professions. This role requires a high level of visibility within the organisation.

  • This post is of critical importance in the realisation of the PAH journey to outstanding, and coordinating all aspects of quality for the purposes of ward to board governance
  • Provide the Trust Board and others with assurance regarding clinical quality, from ward to board
  • Ensure that the safety and quality of care of patients is the priority for the Trust
