This new 10 PA post presents an exciting opportunity to develop a leadership role within General and Consultative haematology at Kings College Hospital. This post will cover the General Haematology service, which will include autoimmune cytopenias, haemolytic anaemias, haematinic disorders and other general haematological conditions that occur in our community as well as provision of advice to the hospital population. It is expected the post-holder will take an active interest in teaching and supervision of registrars with regard to laboratory and consultative roles. While the focus of the post will be general and consultative haematology there is an opportunity within the post for the candidate to develop a specialist role according to their interests.

You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent to be eligible for interview.The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years), therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
