Ealing CAMHS – Neurodevelopmental Team

Consultant Grade, with introductory golden handshake of 5% of salary and relocation expenses (subject to conditions).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the well-established and expanding Neurodevelopmental Team at Ealing CAMHS, West London NHS Trust. The post-holder will join the existing 1.0 WTE substantive Consultant Psychiatrists in the Neurodevelopmental team to jointly lead transformation of the service, including a waiting list initiative. The team has been successful in a bid for additional funds to provide additional clinical staff and access to web-based assessment tools. The postholder will also have the opportunity to work with another Consultant Psychiatrists within Ealing CAMHS (their focus is the Children and Families and Adolescent Teams respectively).

This is an exciting time to be joining our Child & Adolescent Services with considerable change taking place across the 3 London Boroughs in the Directorate (Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Ealing). In addition to the Neurodevelopmental Service transformation, the Ealing CAMH Service is active in a Phase 1 New Care Models Programme (focussed on improved use of Tier 4 beds and development of crisis interventions), development of Child Wellbeing Practitioners, Trailblazer for the new Mental Health Support Teams in Schools .

Ealing CAMHS offers comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, for children, young people and families in the 0-18 age range. It
is a community based out patient service characterised by family centred
and individually tailored treatment packages. There are close links with
colleagues in Tier 2 CAMHS services, Acute and Community Paediatrics,
Education, Social Services, Primary Care, and Adult Mental Health Services.

The post holder will take a leadership role alongside their consultant colleagues and lead professionals.

The salary range for this post is £82,096 - £110,683 pro rata, per annum plus London Zone weighting of £2,162 per annum. Consultant Grade, with introductory golden handshake of 5% of salary and relocation expenses (subject to conditions).

The role is offered as full-time (10 PAs); the post is open to candidates who would prefer a part-time post.
